Sat, 28 Apr 2012 18:25:27 -0800WeeblyFri, 27 Apr 2012 07:38:19 -0800http://www.trowstreasures.com/1/post/2012/04/herbal-pleasures-with-trows-treasures.htmlGreetings....I wated to share with you my school progress as an herbalist.  I am going into my 3rd month...So far I have made Salves  with calendula infused oil and added lavander and tee tree oils for anti-septic,anti-fungal for bites, scrapes, burns...A good salve to have on hand when you have young kids or when you go camping...I also tweaked it and added eucalyptus and peppermint oils for sore muscles, vapor rub and help with head aches.....I have also been making teas...my favorite so far is Chamomile,Lemon balm, passion flower,elder berry and a pinch of stevia and of course, honey..It is calming and sweet.Great for settling down at nite.
I made a "fire cider" for good health, colds,flus and allergies with apple cider  vinegar, horse radish, garlic,onion,and ginger....You can purchase all these items at your local grocery store....Put it all together and  let sit  for 4weeks, strain and you got  a great remedy for your cold/flu/allergy season...1 tsp/hr as needed
My next project is to infuse my lilac flowers to capture their beautiful scent all year long.  I have been busy planting the herbs I will want to have on hand for cooking and making teas and tinctures...I am looking forward to nature walks so I can identify herbs/weeds that grow in and around my yard..I will dig them up and put them in my garden for medicinal uses...

Welcome to the year 2012, where big spiritual changes and awakenings are upon us... I started the new year by registering myself for the Green Witch School of Herbs in Salem, Ma...To become a certified herbalist!!!!  I have waited 2 years for this to happen...I am ready to make new product, more product...Starting with infused oils for massage, hair and get well medicinal  herbal infusions...I will be making something new each month..I will try to share with you what I am making and what I am studying.... ]]>Sun, 19 Sep 2010 20:22:08 -0800http://www.trowstreasures.com/1/post/2010/09/ive-come-a-long-way-baby.htmlI have come a long way with my "Trows Treasures".  Starting out by donating my herb pillows at my Church Craft Fair to now consigning in 4 stores and vending at popular events.  I was buying herbs in bulk at retail prices, now I am buying wholesale, thanks to the help of some great people that allow me to place orders with them.  
I am proud of my product line which has grown from making only herb pillows to adding eye pillows, lavender dolls for the kids, catnip toys for the household feline,love pillows for attracting someone special and now tarot bags. Inspired by a tarot class where I learned to read the Tarot.  
My next product will be homemade herbal tea bags...
My ultimate goal is to have a studio to sew in with a wall lined with bulk herbs to "play with".  
I am posting this to let people know if you keep doing what you love and don't give up, your dreams will come true...
I am a big believer in what you SAY/THINK is what you GET.  Think Positive and stay on your path!!!
